About Us
Fair Care first opened its doors for business early in 2005, with the objective being to deliver simple but effective benefit solutions to employers across the UK. Now with over 1,000 clients, Fair Care has achieved an enviable reputation for providing a wide range of employee benefits to employers of all sizes, across all sectors.
Initially the focus was on the childcare voucher market, but the product range quickly expanded to include a full range of salary sacrifice propositions, together with some key voluntary benefits such as the popular Advantage discount scheme. The last two years has seen the in-house development of Benefit Select, Fair Care’s online benefits portal. This product is becoming very popular, proving to be an economical, simple and effective tool for employers to manage and communicate core, voluntary and flexible benefits.
Fair Care takes great pride in its service levels, with an account manager assigned to each client, backed up by a dedicated, in-house customer service team. All Fair Care’s staff are encouraged to take part in product development, which is seen as a continual process and key to our desire to provide the best possible solutions across the product range.

Philip Curtis - Managing Director Philip put the blueprint together for Fair Care at the tail end of 2004, having seen an opportunity to create a service orientated, innovative business in what appeared to be a ‘sleepy’ industry. With the mantra of making the complex simple, the initial focus was on the childcare voucher market but with the intention to quickly diversify into the wider spectrum of employee benefits. Seven years later, and with over 1,000 clients, the opportunity has become reality. Prior to setting up Fair Care, Philip spent 8 years as a finance director in merchant banking group Close Brothers. Part of his remit was responsibility for HR and employee benefits, which sparked a keen interest in tax efficient remuneration, including the introduction of profit related pay through salary sacrifice and various share incentive schemes. Philip believes that being on 'the other side of the fence' for most of his former career has given him an advantage. With his financial background (he is both a qualified accountant and IFA) and his natural entrepreneurial flair, he has a unique insight into what clients really need and also the drive to bring interesting and innovative products to market. |

Phillip Waller - Sales Director With extensive experience in business development and client management, Phillip was the natural choice for the role of Sales Director. As a co-founder of the business, Phillip's mandate was to create and manage a nationwide sales team, backed up by first class customer service. Phillip gained his experience from working in a variety of sectors including manufacturing, retail and professional services. Prior to joining Fair Care, Phillip was National Account Manager for Unilever where he was responsible for managing the accounts of two national retailers, overseeing growth in both turnover and profitability. Following a 2 year fellowship course at Cranfield University and with hands on experience of developing incentive and reward packages, Phillip saw Fair Care as an ideal opportunity to put his talents into practice in a sector that really interested him. The results have been exceptional, as the business has enjoyed sustained growth since it opened its door in 2005, enjoying one of the highest client retention rates in the industry. |

Niall Munro - Director We were delighted when Niall agreed to join Fair Care as a director on 1st October 2011. Niall has brought with him a wealth of experience in the Employee Benefits sector, both from a product and a technology perspective. Before joining Fair Care, Niall acted as a consultant to a number of high profile organisations, predominantly focusing on flexible benefit propositions. Prior to this, roles included senior management positions at Staffcare (Managing Director - online flexible benefits) and Legal & General (Corporate Director – Group Risk, Pensions and Annuities). Niall’s primary focus is the ongoing development of Fair Care’s flexible benefit and auto enrolment pension solutions, both from a technological and a business development angle. With huge enthusiasm, energy and a talent for thinking outside the box, Niall complements the existing management team perfectly. |
