Green Car Scheme

Fair Care's Green Car Scheme will deliver significant savings to employees who wish to drive greener vehicles. Proving very popular, this self-funding scheme will help employers promote green policy and at the same time, give employees the very tangible benefit of a brand new car at a much reduced cost.

Low emission cars with CO2 emissions of 120 g/km or less, benefit from a much reduced tax charge, at only 10% of the value of the car. A wide range of cars fall into this bracket, with car manufacturers rapidly adapting to the changing market.

Operating the Green Car Scheme through salary sacrifice will generate savings in tax and NI that significantly outweigh the 10% tax charge, producing very attractive net savings for employees. A basic-rate taxpayer wishing to run a new Mini Cooper D, for example, would enjoy savings of at least £500 per year.

The Scheme is simple to implement and operate. As with all Fair Care products, the communication and administration of the scheme is fully outsourced.
